8 things our editor is loving right now for parents
As I navigate my second pregnancy, I've become much more intentional about the pieces I bring into my life – things that serve a purpose, spark joy, or simply make the everyday feel a little more special. Here are five products I'm genuinely loving right now, from cosy maternity essentials to those little luxuries that make a house feel like a home over the festive period.
The pyjamas: Chelsea Peers Maternity Christmas Leopard Print Long Pyjama Set
There's something wonderfully joyful about festive pyjamas, and this maternity set from Chelsea Peers strikes the perfect balance between fun and sophisticated. The hand-drawn leopard print features Santa hats, striped scarves, and holly wreaths – playful enough for Christmas morning photos with the family, yet chic enough that I don't feel frumpy. Made from soft recycled jersey, the revere collar shirt has clever popper fastenings for easier nursing access later on, while the full over-bump band offers gentle support throughout every trimester. It's those thoughtful design details that make all the difference when you're pregnant.

The fragrance: Jo Loves Pomelo Fragrance 100ml
I've been reaching for this fragrance constantly. Jo Malone's first scent for her Jo Loves brand is inspired by a transformative holiday in Turks and Caicos, and you can absolutely feel that sense of escape in the bottle. It opens with rose and zesty pomelo before settling into a warm, grounding base of patchouli and suede. It's sophisticated without being heavy – perfect for pregnancy when strong scents can be overwhelming. The story behind it resonates with me too: a reminder that creativity and passion are always within reach, even during life's more challenging chapters.

The body oil: Elemis Japanese Camellia Oil Blend
This lightweight body oil has become an essential part of my daily routine. Specially designed for pregnant and postpartum skin, it's enriched with precious Japanese Camellia oil and plant collagen to help improve elasticity and suppleness. What I love most is how quickly it absorbs – there's no greasy residue, just beautifully soft, moisturized skin. It's clinically tested to help reduce the appearance of stretch marks, and it can also be used on nails, cuticles, and even as a hair treatment. A true multi-tasker that feels genuinely luxurious.

The matching set: Claude & Co Cozmo Matcha Moon Star Sweater (Adult)
This organic cotton knit jumper in that gorgeous soft matcha green has become my go-to comfort piece. The oversized, slouchy fit is exactly what I need right now – roomy enough to accommodate a growing bump while still looking effortlessly stylish. What makes it extra special is the celestial moon, star, and sun pattern, and the fact that it comes in matching baby and child sizes. I'm already imagining those sweet family photos once baby arrives. It's the kind of versatile piece that transitions seamlessly from cosy winter days to breezy summer evenings, and the 100% organic cotton means it's soft, breathable, and kind to the planet.

The scent: Beauty Pie Fir Balsam, Sandalwood & Sweet Orange Reed Diffuser
Creating a calming, beautiful-smelling home has never felt more important than it does now as we prepare for baby number two. This reed diffuser from Beauty Pie fills our space with the most gorgeous winter scent – think sweet orange, eucalyptus, and balsam fir with hints of sandalwood, cinnamon, and clove. It's warm and inviting without being overpowering, and the tinted glass vessel looks beautiful on our sideboard. With a scent time of up to 12 weeks and French-sourced reeds, it's luxurious quality at a surprisingly accessible price point. It makes coming home feel extra special.
The car seat: Maxi Cosi Nomad XL Plus
I’ve recently been trying out the Maxi Cosi Nomad XL Plus car seat for my 2.5 year old toddler. It’s a a compact-folding, long-lasting car seat that grows with your child from 15 months to 12 years. Unlike traditional bulky car seats, the Nomad XL Plus folds down compactly with an included travel bag, making it incredibly practical for switching between cars, storing when not in use, or traveling - I have never prioritised a travel car seat before but after many sketchy experiences i’m ready to start taking my own with me for piece of mind. I love the longevity of this being with us for so many years too.
At just 44 cm wide, you can fit three seats across the backseat. With a toddler and new baby on the way, this narrow profile is ideal for accommodating both children's car seats side by side when needed or travelling. It has five recline positions and 13 adjustable headrest positions ensure comfort whether your child is awake or napping. The washable cover (machine washable at 30°C) is practical for inevitable spills and messes that come from toddlers and regarding safety and sustainability, it features integrated ISOFIX, top tether, and G-CELL side impact protection.
