Five mums recommend their favourite baby tech buys
From white noise machines to the best baby monitors on the market, we spoke to five stylish mums in-the-know to discover what their must-have baby tech buys are.
Charlotte Kewley - Children’s stylist
“I could not have survived the baby days without the Sound Sleeper white noise app! None of mine were great sleepers - I fed to sleep, co-slept, bed-hopped - but the white noise app definitely helped more than anything else I tried (or ordered for next day delivery at 2am in the morning on amazing prime).”

“The Nanit camera is undoubtedly my top baby tech pick. Initially, I was unsure about it because it didn't come with a dedicated screen device, but as our family expanded, this turned out to be an advantage. We have one in each of the toddlers rooms - and have had since they were tiny babies.
When we are away and they are with the nanny, I can even take a peak at what is happening. Check the temperature of the room, review what time they woke up and how their sleeping pattern is. Both cameras are linked to a single app, allowing us to split the screen and view both children simultaneously. The app also offers the flexibility to add more cameras if needed.
It is one of those things I wish I would have had 12 years ago when I had my eldest and I would be constantly going to check on her, or checking she was okay and breathing.”

“My favourite baby tech investment has definitely been the VTech VM901 Smart Baby Monitor. We’ve used it every single day since Daisy was about 4 months old, and taken it abroad on numerous occasions, to friends’ houses overnight, on play dates for naps. We genuinely couldn’t cope without it!”

“For me it’s got to be the Nanit camera. I am bbsessed with it and all the data it gives you on your child’s sleep. It makes you feel super reassured, the picture quality great and it also sends you alerts if your child moves or makes a noise. Amazing!”

Dr Francesca Brewer - GP & Paediatric Sleep Consultant
“One of my favourite pieces of baby tech is the Tommee Tippee Gro Egg. It tells you at a glance the temperature of your baby’s room, which allows you to dress them appropriately and safely for sleep. It also functions as a night light which can be helpful during night feeds or nappy changes. If the room is warm enough the Gro Egg will emit a warm yellow or orange light and it also comes with an adjustable brightness setting. It’s soft silicone casing and light-weight nature mean it is easily portable and fantastic for travel.”
